"Chimney Chat" is a collaborative Christmas themed extended play (EP) between Cottontail and Lucy Loone. The EP was released two days early on YouTube, but was released to all streaming platforms on December 17th, 2018.
Background[]
Although most extended plays tend to have 4 to 8 tracks, Chimney Chat only features 2 songs. The extended play had barely any promotion before the release and neither of the tracks were released as singles. A visual version of the extended play was released on December 31st, 2018 and starred Cottontail, Lucy Loone, Matthew Dubois as Santa Claus, and Jeri Mae James as Mrs Claus. Cottontail and Lucy Loone helped with directing, styling, and set designing.
The visuals were shot by Ivan Castro, but later on taken down as both Cotton and Lucy were not fond of the end result and they didn't want to associate their craft with it, as they were improving themselves.
Theme[]
Neither Cottontail or Lucy Loone have talked about the theme of the EP, however the lyrics imply that it is about a relationship in which one of the partners in in an affair but refuses to discuss it.
